Migration of 1.76 TB of file data and creation of structures in Microsoft Teams – completed in 10 working days
The ITeon team successfully completed a complex project, including a complete migration of files from two DFS-synchronized structures to Microsoft 365, with a parallel implementation of Microsoft Teams for 74 users. The project was prepared for one month, with the aim of precisely mapping the file architecture and ensuring uninterrupted operation. The actual implementation took 10 working days and included:
- Migration of 1.76 TB of file data from a local DFS environment to Microsoft OneDrive and SharePoint Online, with careful preservation of the hierarchy, access rights and historical versions;
- Analysis and restructuring of shared folders, consistent with the client’s business logic, to achieve better clarity and easy access in a cloud environment;
- Creation of 8 Microsoft Teams teams, configured by departments and project teams, containing: standard, personal and shared channels; integrated file libraries and ToDo; internal communication rules and approvals;
- User training and documentation covering best practices for working with Teams and OneDrive;
- Improved cloud-based collaboration structure with higher visibility, control and growth opportunities.
The project ended with zero incidents, full customer satisfaction and a sustainable foundation for future digital transformation.
